Our Story

A Foundation Built on Experience

After more than fourteen years serving the Rolls-Royce and specialty car community at Jenkins & Jenkins in Charlotte, NC, Jarod Brown and Jean Robitaille established Automotive International in 2000 to serve a growing community of collectors and enthusiasts.

From the beginning, the focus was on Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, and Aston Martin, offering everything from mechanical maintenance to full body-off restorations. The team quickly became known for their ability to rebuild components, source rare parts, and maintain an unwavering commitment to quality and client relationships.

Growth and Partnership

In 2001, Peter Nikonovich joined as a partner, bringing strategic insight and helping to guide the company’s continued growth. By 2016, the business had moved into a purpose-built 22,000-square-foot facility, featuring a state-of-the-art downdraft paint booth designed to accommodate large vehicles and advanced waterborne finishes.

The expansion allowed for greater efficiency and the ability to serve a growing clientele while preserving the company’s meticulous standards.

Refining a Philosophy

In 2013, Sean Smith became a partner and assumed the role of Operations Manager, overseeing delivery quality and day-to-day operations. Under his guidance, Automotive International refined its focus to the marques that best represent the team’s collective expertise and passion: Ferrari, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce.

Today, the company continues to uphold the values that shaped its foundation: authenticity, precision, and a dedication to the craftsmanship that defines the world’s most extraordinary automobiles.
